SOUTHAMPTON singing sensation Craig David will play an intimate homecoming gig next month.
The Seven Days performer will take to the stage at The 1865 in Brunswick Square, a short walk from where he grew up in the city’s Holyrood Estate.
The gig, on Saturday October 1, is in association with Vinilo Record Store, to promote his new album, 22, which comes out the day before.
Craig shot to fame in 1999 thanks to his Artful Dodger collaboration Re-Rewind. Since then, he’s clocked up 20 top 40 singles and seven top 40 albums. He’s been nominated for an impressive 14 Brit awards and two Grammy Awards and was presented with his MBE by the Prince of Wales, now King Charles III.
The Saints fan has often returned to the city over the years and is always popular. Tickets are expected to sell out.
Tickets are available in bundles with Craig’s new CD, 22, priced £16 for one ticket and CD from vinilo.co.uk/collections/outstore/products/craig-david-22-southampton-outstore
