Saints player ‘tests positive for coronavirus’ after returning to UK after holiday

The player, who has not been named, is said to have tested positive after returning to the UK following a holiday abroad.

He must now face a period of self-isolation and will hace to train on his own while Saints begun pre-season preparations.

They plan to remain there despite reports a player has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Officials at the club have refused to comment but it is understood a single member of the squad had a positive test during the regular screening they have undertaken since arriving in the country on Saturday.
