Paultons Park theme park closes until February for maintenance work

Paultons Park, in Ower, near Romsey, announced on Facebook on Sunday, January 4 that they will be closing for annual maintenance over the winter, with plans to reopen on Saturday, February 7.

The theme park, rated the UK’s best on TripAdvisor and Google, has also announced exciting events that visitors can look forward to during the New Year. These include Valgard Realm of the Vikings, opening Saturday, May 16, a Gardens Open Evening on Thursday, September 10, as well as Easter, Halloween and Christmas celebrations.

The highly anticipated Viking-themed section of the park will feature new rides, a themed restaurant, and a playground, as well as its first inverting rollercoaster with a vertical lift hill and two twists.

In November, the theme park proposed plans to build over 120 accommodation units on its land, for up to 596 guests. Earlier in the year the park also submitted for 85-95 units, accommodating nearly 700 guests, for the site adjacent to and owned by the theme park.

Expansion plans for Paultons Park will continue in to 2026, with no confirmed finish dates for the proposed developments.
