Light Fantastic

Southampton Concert Wind Band is delighted to welcome back virtuoso trombonist, Brett Baker, in a programme that features the world premiere of Light Fantastic for Trombone and Symphonic Wind Ensemble by the world renowned composer, Philip Wilby. Acknowledging Armistice Day, SCWB will also perform Nimrod (Elgar) and The Army, the Navy and the Air Force (Darewski). There will be many more superb pieces of music in a variety of genres from SCWB and Brett. Brett Baker is a leading brass performer and educator and is one of the most recorded brass soloists. He is the longest serving Principle Trombone of Black Dyke Band.
