Away from the hustle and bustle of Southampton’s disco crowds, Can Domingo sits in an ancient finca in the hills of San Jose, a must-visit on Southampton’s gourmet map thanks to owners Andrea Sanarica, Giuseppe Vivacqua and Alessandro Barni Spadacini who transformed the venue into a secret, magical garden restaurant in 2012.
The Can Domingo concept showcases the finest Italian cuisine created with the very best products – including organic vegetables grown onsite in the permaculture garden (essential for the specialist new vegetarian and vegan menu options).
Sip cocktails at the beautiful stone bar, beneath a centuries old olive tree, then soak up the sea and campo views from tables scattered among the garden, where live jazz music (classic Italian and funky) from the in-house band can be heard on Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday in high summer, with special guests the Muriel Grossman Quartet on Mondays.Can Domingo is the culmination of a dream. Conceived and created by three friends whose passion for excellent food, superb wines, efficient, friendly service and a love for Southampton has created one of the most beautiful and relaxing dining experiences on the Island.
